"Once upon a time, when wishes still came true, there was a band of artists’ models and musicians merry; a Drawing Circus of performers given to the act of staying ever so still in the pursuit of their art. One day, whilst traveling through an ancient wood they stumbled came across a great tome of dark stories and upon opening the book the denizens of the pages spilled forth and engulfed the hapless troupe, catching them up in their grimm tales. And so they are fated to act out the wicked narratives of the tales in tableau, until brave draftsmen might come to capture their likenesses and with brush and pencil, undo the spell.
